Obituary for John J. LeRoy
John J. LeRoy, 81, Dyckesville, Wis., passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023. He was born in Luxemburg, to the late John J. and Verna (Dellis) LeRoy, on Dec. 18, 1941. On Nov. 11,1961, he married Mary Ann Herman at St. Kilian Church in New Franken, to whom he remained married for 61 years.
John was a proud member of the Electrical Union 158, until his retirement, as well as a member of St. Louis Parish in Dyckesville for fifty plus years.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was delighted to spend time with his great granddaughter, Nova. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, also enjoying golf and bowling. John, a man eager to try new activities, has been known to engage in cross country and downhill skiing. Together with his wife, Mary Ann, they travelled to Europe, Alaska, Maine, and much of the United States.
John is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters, Sharon (Jim) Majeski, Michelle (Dennis) Harmon; one son, Chris LeRoy; five grandchildren, Max, Mitch (Abbie), Samantha, Jess, and Riley (Katy); one great grandchild, Nova; one brother, Larry LeRoy; sisters in law and brothers in law, Pat (Bernard) Pigeon, Donna (Francis) Paque, Jim (Mary) Mathu, Jean (friend; Michelle Vandevelde) Mathu; further relatives including several nieces and nephews survive.
John was preceded in death by one son, Mike LeRoy; his parents, Verna and John LeRoy; His siblings, Armilla and Peter Jauquet; Ethereda and Edward Theys; Alden and Angie LeRoy; Frank Krerowicz; Judy LeRoy; further relatives have preceded John in death.
