Lavern Catherine Bredael

- - Lavern Catherine Bredael, age 84, passed away Wednesday October 31, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Lavern was born October 25, 1934 in Sugar Bush Wisconsin to the late Anna (Arendt) and Archie O'Brien.

Lavern graduated from Luxemburg High School where she met her high school sweet heart and soon to be husband, James W. Bredael. They moved to the Chicago area where they later had their two children Kathleen and Brian. While in Chicago they imparted their love of travel to their children and Lavern taught her daughter how to garden. Lavern's favorite hobby was playing bridge with her friends and taking time to play with her four grandchildren and subsequent great grandchildren.

Laverne is survived by her husband James Bredael, her two children: Kathleen Bredael and Brian Bredael of Elk Grove Village IL; four grandchildren: Kristi Markey of Flagstaff AZ, Michael Bredael of Phoenix AZ, Brianna Bredael and Alissa Bredael of Elk Grove Village IL; and four great grandchildren: Taylor, Robert IV, Kaitlyn and Sophia.
